“Oregon Trail Elementary is a community dedicated to building respectful and responsible citizens and empowering all learners to excel academically, socially, and emotionally.”

Oregon Trail Elementary, home of the Trailblazers, has a long tradition of excellence. Our school serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. We are dedicated to making sure all children are safe, healthy, challenged, supported, engaged in school, and developed to reach their full potential. We believe families are a very important part of the Oregon Trail community and we are proud of our strong parental partnerships.

Curriculum

At Oregon Trail, all students have access to the Natrona County School District’s Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum. For English Language Arts (ELA), teachers utilize the Journeys curriculum along with Literature Circles to support reading and language development. In Math, students explore core concepts primarily through the Into Math program.

Science and Social Studies instruction are integrated into both Math and ELA, with additional opportunities for hands-on learning and exploration through STEM lessons. Every student also receives weekly instruction in Art, Music, Physical Education, and Library from our highly qualified staff.

Students learn about the traits of Trailblazers, such as grit, perseverance, and integrity. They also take part in daily Caring School Community activities, which help build a strong social-emotional foundation and support a positive school culture.
