Transitions Learning Center

Transitions Learning Center provides support to struggling and transitioning students and their educational team. Through effective partnerships, Transitions put students on the path to academic, personal, and career success. Transitions is committed to reaching this goal one student at a time.

Mission Statement
Providing a safe alternative environment for learning, accountability, and success through positive partnerships.

Vision
Transitions will be a program energized by committed staff and students who are ready to successfully utilize alternative education as a means to graduate. Participants will fully engage with academic, personal, and professional resources to become graduates prepared for their next step.

Collective Commitments
In order to reach our vision, it is imperative that all staff are committed to healthy relationship-building, executing a curriculum that is rigorous, and placing value with relevancy in learning. These three commitments will be exercised with fidelity and integrity. In addition, the system approach to continuous improvement will be consistently implemented throughout the program, by identifying strategic learning goals, as well as identified strategic learning results. We will use this data to drive our work and publicly display our progress.

Programs
Transitions Learning Center offers a variety of core and elective classes. Students can earn 0.5 Carnegie Unit of Credit for every 60 hours of successful participation. Attendance is essential in all Transitions classes.

Transitions Learning Center students participate in physical education and athletics at their home school. Transitions core classroom curriculum meets the needs of students, by offering classes in math, history, and language arts.
