NCSD School Choice Registration
NCSD's School Choice Registration period is open from December 1st, 2025, through January 16th, 2026. During the School Choice Registration period, families can enroll their children for the 2026-2027 school year.
The School Choice Registration period is the time for families of the following groups of students to choose their school preference for the 2026-2027 school year:
- New-to-NCSD students for next school year
- Incoming Kindergarteners
- Students moving from 5th to 6th grade
- Students moving from 8th to 9th grade
- Students who are moving schools next year - any grade level
You do not need to complete this process if your child is not in one of the above categories.
NCSD offers School Choice because we believe no single education style fits the needs of all children. School Choice gives families the opportunity to find the schools that are best for their children.
School Choice Registration is completed via your NCSD Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account. If you have a NEW student to NCSD, you must first complete STEP ONE so an account can be set-up for your NEW student.

OPEN HOUSE SCHEDULE
Families can also visit schools during their upcoming Open House nights to learn more about the terrific opportunities available across the district. Take your time as you make this important decision. Enrollment is NOT based on a first-come, first-served basis; therefore, it does not matter when you complete the process while the window (December 1st, 2025 - January 16th, 2026) is open.

Important Information for NEW Families to NCSD - New Student or New Kindergarten Student
School Choice Registration is a two-step process for NEW Kindergarten student families, or new families to NCSD.
If your student is NEW to NCSD, you must first complete STEP ONE of the registration process. After doing so, a Parent Portal account will be created, and/or your NEW student will be added to your existing Parent Portal account. This process can take up to a week.
After your Parent Portal account is created for your new student, or they have been added to your existing account, you may go in to complete STEP TWO during School Choice Registration from December 1st through January 16th.
