NEW this year, NCSD’s School Choice Registration process will be open for a longer period to allow families to visit as many open houses across the district as they like and learn more about the exceptional opportunities available at schools.
NCSD School Choice Registration is open from December 1st, 2025, through January 16th, 2026!
The School Choice Registration period is the time for families of the following groups of students to choose their school preference for the 2026-27 school year:
- New-to-NCSD students
- Incoming kindergarteners
- Students moving from 5th to 6th grade
- Students moving from 8th to 9th grade
- Students who are moving schools next year - any grade level
