NCSD Parent News - February 13, 2023

REMINDER: February 17th - Regular School Day

As our Wyoming winter continues to provide us with significant snowfall and other inclement weather challenges, we are working to address past "snow days" and any potential upcoming Inclement Weather days with the following actions:

  1. The January 30th, 2023,  Inclement Weather Day will be made up on Friday, February 17th, 2023. This day was originally planned as a Professional Development day for staff. We will hold school on this day for all students to make up January 30th, 2023.
  2. The January 3rd, 2023, Inclement Weather Day will be made up at the end of the school year on Friday, June 9th, 2023.
  3. Schools and District offices will continue to be closed for President's Day on February 20th, 2023.

As we know, historically, February, March, and April bring significant snowfall and other inclement winter weather conditions to our community. We are working to ensure that all future foreseen Inclement Weather days will be Virtual Learning Days. We are working directly with all schools to ensure technology is sent home daily in preparation for any potential foreseen Virtual Learning Days.

Our NCSD Inclement Weather team works continuously, in partnership with city, county, and state agencies, to monitor potential weather impacts to our community. As we do so, we will continue to work diligently to communicate any known school or district operational impacts as soon as possible.

Thank you for your partnership in providing an exceptional educational experience and environment for all students.
