Students Explore Their Curiosity and Scientific Expertise at the 2022 Wyoming State Science Fair!

To qualify for the State Science Fair, students previously competed in the District and Regional Science Fair earlier this year. Students prepare projects based on their interests featuring their original science, technology, engineering, or math research in various categories. Categories include Animal Sciences, Behavioral and Social Sciences, Biochemistry, Biomedical and Health Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Embedded Systems, Energy: Sustainable Materials and Design, Engineering Technology: Statistics and Dynamics, Environmental Engineering, Materials Science, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics and Astronomy, Plant Sciences, Robotics and Intelligent Machines, Systems Software, and Translational Medical Science. Students have the opportunity to receive awards, scholarships, and recognition!
 
Congratulations to CY Middle School sixth-grader Charlie McGinley who won the 1st place Lemelson Early Inventor Prize in the Junior Category - Engineering for his project Magnet Spinning Fan. 
 
Congratulations to St. Anthony's Tri-Parish School sixth-grader Konrad Smith who won 1st place in the Junior Category - Chemistry for his project Chemical Analysis of Leaf Extracts Using Chromatography.
