Carhartt’s Steel Apple Awards recognize outstanding educators nationwide who encourage and help students build rewarding careers in the skilled trades. As part of this recognition, each Steel Apple Award honoree received a classroom grant, and Carhartt surprised students with new gear of their own during the celebration.
KWHS students and staff gathered together to surprise Mrs. Huffman and honor her outstanding professionalism and passion for teaching and inspiring excellence. Though the award may have surprised her, it was no surprise to those who witness her extraordinary impact on education every day. “Mrs. Huffman is an exceptional educator who is dedicated and committed to student success. Through engaging, hands-on learning experiences, she inspires students to explore skilled trades, discover their strengths, and build the confidence and practical skills for continued success beyond graduation,” shared Principal Mike Britt. “We are incredibly proud of Kora and the positive impact she has on students, staff, and our KWHS school community.”
Congratulations, Mrs. Huffman, on this well-deserved recognition! Your passion for teaching and dedication to preparing students for successful futures truly exemplifies educational excellence.
