For more than 18 years, the Charger Challenge has been a beloved Fort Caspar Academy tradition, bringing the school community together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. This year's event continued that tradition with exciting activities, generous donations, and incredible community support.
Each FCA class worked together to create a special, themed raffle basket, giving attendees a chance to win exciting prizes while supporting a great cause. Local businesses generously donated items, while FCA families contributed several larger prizes, including a Blackstone griddle, a bicycle, a scooter, coolers, and a camping fire pit.
Families also enjoyed a variety of activities, including an adventure course, obstacle course, and family games that brought out everyone's fun, competitive spirit. Attendees also enjoyed a delicious pancake breakfast, generously provided by the Kiwanis Club.
A meaningful and special part of the day was hearing from Meals on Wheels representatives, who shared the importance of the organization's work and how fundraising efforts like the Charger Challenge help provide meals to those in need.
The Charger Challenge's success would not have been possible without the dedication of countless volunteers, families, and community supporters. Fort Caspar Academy extends a heartfelt thank-you to FCA staff, Kiwanis, Copper Cup, Perkins, Pepsi, KWHS National Honor Society, the many local businesses and families who donated prizes, volunteered their time, and helped make the event a success.
Principal Martin-Palacios expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support and shared her excitement about continuing this special tradition.
"We are incredibly proud of the generosity and community spirit that made it possible. The event brought together FCA staff, families, volunteers, and community partners for a fun-filled day. We are proud of our school and the positive impact this event has had on our local community. Thank you to everyone who helped make it a success!"
The vision of Fort Caspar Academy is educational excellence through a comprehensive, rigorous curriculum and virtuous character development with a strong student-staff-parent partnership. The Charger Challenge is one of many ways students, staff, and the FCA community work together to make that vision a reality.
