NCSD Students Showcase Exceptional Talents in SkillsUSA Competition!

Representing a variety of career pathways, students competed alongside peers from across Wyoming, showcasing the real-world knowledge and technical expertise they’ve gained through the SkillsUSA program. Student competitors demonstrated their exceptional skills in A/V Technology & Communication, Architecture & Construction, Food/Hospitality & Human Services, Health Sciences, Manufacturing, Public Safety, STEM/ & Information Technology, Transportation/Distribution/Logistics, and Leadership Development. With guidance from teachers and industry mentors, participants not only honed their craft but also developed essential leadership, workplace, and academic skills that will prepare them for future success.

“Through the SkillsUSA Framework, Wyoming SkillsUSA participants develop practical, industry-aligned skills in various fields, including architectural drafting, nursing, automotive technology, culinary arts, construction, welding, and more. Simultaneously, students cultivate essential career-readiness skills—such as teamwork, communication, professionalism, and leadership—that drive career success. We play a critical role in addressing the ongoing skills gap, where the demand for highly skilled professionals exceeds the available workforce. SkillsUSA is America’s proud champion of the skilled trades. Our mission is to empower students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders and responsible community members.” (www.skillsusawyoming.org)
