The annual contest invites local elementary students to showcase their creativity while celebrating Wyoming’s wildlife and the vital role emergency medical services play in our community. Each year, winning artwork is transformed into large-scale graphics displayed on Banner Health Wyoming Medical Center ambulances, turning lifesaving vehicles into moving works of art created by students.
This year, more than 80 student submissions were received, each highlighting Wyoming’s unique animals and landscapes. Paxton’s detailed mule deer illustration and Blakely’s expressive raccoon captured the most votes, earning them the top honors.
Paxton and Blakely were surprised during a special celebration at which the newly wrapped ambulances were unveiled to their families, classmates, and school. The moment was met with cheers and excitement as students saw their classmates’ artwork displayed on the ambulances for the very first time.
