NCSD SCHOOL CHOICE REGISTRATION
NCSD's School Choice Registration period is open from December 1st, 2025, through January 16th, 2026. During the School Choice Registration period, families can enroll their children for the 2026-27 school year.
The School Choice Registration period is the time for families of the following groups of students to choose their school preference for the 2026-2027 school year:
- New-to-NCSD students
- Incoming kindergarteners
- Students moving from 5th to 6th grade
- Students moving from 8th to 9th grade
- Students who are moving schools next year - any grade level

NCSD OPEN HOUSE DATES
Families can visit schools during their upcoming Open House nights to learn more about the terrific opportunities available across the district. NEW this year, NCSD's School Choice Registration process will be open for a longer period to allow families time to visit as many open houses across the district as they like and learn more about the exceptional opportunities available at schools. Please, take your time as you make this important decision. Enrollment is NOT first-come, first-served; therefore, it does not matter when you complete the process while the window (December 1st, 2025 - January 16th, 2026) is open.
