NCSD INCLEMENT WEATHER PROTOCOL REMINDER
Fall is in the air! As our temperatures begin to drop and leaves fall, we would like to remind everyone about NCSD's Inclement Weather Protocol.
Natrona County School District recognizes that school is an important part of community and family life. As a result, schools will be closed for inclement weather or natural disasters only when the community itself is unable to operate safely. The primary factors considered are adverse weather conditions and the safe transportation of students and staff. The primary responsibility in protecting a child's health and school attendance always resides with the parent or guardian.
NCSD's Inclement Weather team continually monitors forecasted weather conditions that may impact school operations. Communications are sent out via text and/or phone call by approximately 5:30 a.m. from NCSD Public Relations.
In the event of a change to school operations, updates will also be posted on NCSD's website and official Facebook page. News agencies will be contacted to send a message to the community.
It is important to note that NCSD only sends notifications when there is a change to school operations (e.g., virtual learning day, early release, late start, etc.).
In order to ensure efficient communication in the case of urgent communications, NCSD will utilize the parent/guardian phone number provided in Infinite Campus Parent Portal to share inclement weather notifications with parents/guardians.

NCSD CLIMATE SURVEY
The Natrona County School District is committed to ensuring all district environments are safe, orderly, supportive, and conducive to a climate of high expectations for students, staff, and the community.
The 2025-2026 Climate Survey is open from October 9th through December 5th, 2025.
Opportunities to complete this survey will be provided to students in grades 4-12, parents/guardians, and staff members.
We would like to ask for your help by completing the Parent survey.
The purpose of this survey is to measure our work on engagement, environment, and safety. This survey is anonymous, and the information gained from this survey will be used to help implement improvements at all schools and facilities.
If you have students at multiple schools, please fill out a separate survey for each school.
