Natrona County School District Celebrates Educational Excellence!

August 28, 2025

The Natrona County School District is honored to celebrate significant improvements in our Wyoming Accountability School Performance ratings over the past academic year. This celebration includes schools that have maintained their status of meeting expectations, those that have improved their designation, and those that have moved to meeting or exceeding.

This achievement is the result of a purposeful and united effort by our students, staff, and school communities.

The Wyoming Accountability Education Act has four performance-level categories assigned to all Wyoming schools: Exceeding Expectations, Meeting Expectations, Partially Meeting Expectations, and Not Meeting Expectations.

It is with great enthusiasm and pride that we recognize Evansville Elementary, Pineview Elementary, and Summit Elementary for their extraordinary achievement in Exceeding Expectations.

Congratulations to the following schools that have maintained or moved to Meeting Expectations status:

  • Bar Nunn Elementary, Crest Hill Elementary, CY Middle School, Kelly Walsh High School, Midwest School, Oregon Trail Elementary, Roosevelt High School, Sagewood Elementary, and Verda James Elementary.

Manor Heights Elementary also experienced growth, moving from "Not Meeting Expectations" to "Partially Meeting Expectations".

Additionally, 6 of our 7 schools that were designated as Partially Meeting Expectations are 0.1 point away from Meeting Expectations.

Across the district, school teams have shown improvement in various areas, and we celebrate their dedicated work.  We are tremendously proud of the success of each and every staff member and student in all of our schools. School teams are doing the right work every day to move forward in educational excellence.

Throughout the year, we continued the implementation of targeted strategies aligned with our district's strategic plan to enhance student learning and support their success. Our focus on evidence-based instructional strategies, increased opportunities for staff collaboration, and supporting high expectations for all was guided by our collective commitment to helping students achieve their highest potential.

Our teachers, staff, and administrators have worked side by side, sharing ideas, refining practices, and focusing on what matters most: student learning and growth.

Thank you to our students, who inspire us each day with their focus, joy, and commitment to success. Thank you to the principals, teachers, and staff, the driving force behind this achievement, who dedicate themselves each day to collaborating, educating, and supporting our students with an unwavering belief in their potential and excellence. And thank you to our school families and community for your support of educational excellence.

Our district’s success reflects a collective effort. By working together at every level, we have created a culture where every classroom is supported and every school is moving forward with a clear focus on academic excellence.

As a district, we will continue our focus on collaboration and strategies that ensure success for every learner. Together, with a shared vision for educational excellence, we are committed to preparing all students for bright and successful futures.
