NCHS holds the prestigious distinction of being the very first official troupe, Troupe No. 1, inducted into the International Thespian Society. NCHS's theatre program offers students opportunities to explore various aspects of theatre studies, including acting, stagecraft, costuming, stage makeup, and more. Throughout the year, students craft their artistic skills as they prepare for an exceptional year of talented performances, community engagement, and stage magic!
Founded in 1929, the International Thespian Society (ITS) honors excellence in student theatre, celebrating achievements in both performance and production. Each summer, the International Thespian Festival brings together high school students from across the world to compete and collaborate across all disciplines of theatre. Throughout the school year, NCHS thespians committed themselves to rigorous preparation, honing performance pieces, perfecting costume and makeup design, and refining their craft in every area of production. Their hard work and dedication earned them a record number of Superior and Excellent ratings. “I am so very proud of the work our Mustangs did. To score so well in a field of over 2,000 students is a testament to how hard our students work and the benefit of supporting the arts in education,” shared Zach Schneider, Director, Natrona County High School Theatre/Film & TV.
