NCSD Public Comment Opportunities: Rule and Board Policy: 4020 Firearms Policy (Concealed Carry): Personnel and Volunteers Authorized to Carry
Effective July 1, 2025, under House Bill 172, Wyoming School Districts must allow concealed carry by individuals 21 years of age and older.
HB 172 only allows for school districts, through policy (rule), to require any person carrying a firearm to maintain the firearm on his person at all times or in a concealed biometric container or lock box within the direct control of the person at all times, and policy may require training for staff and volunteers who choose to carry a concealed weapon.
