Composed of talented 4th and 5th-grade students, this elementary school band spent months honing their musical skills and learning the value of teamwork under the direction of Mr. Huck, Southridge music teacher. On April 30, their hard work reached a new crescendo.
Full of excitement and anticipation, students walked into Wheeler Hall, the college’s state-of-the-art auditorium with built-in recording studio capabilities, ready to shine.
Inside the tech room at the back of the hall, Casper College Professor Burger captured each note as the band recorded each of their chosen songs multiple times, striving to create the perfect version of each. It was more than just a recording session; it was a real-world experience in music production that few elementary students ever get.
The collaboration with Casper College didn’t just give Feedback a stage—it gave them inspiration, confidence, and a glimpse into what’s possible when education and the arts unite. The students left Wheeler Hall not only with recordings but with memories and a profound sense of pride in what they had accomplished together.
“I decided to join the Rock Band Club because I really like singing and playing the drums. Today is exciting because it is really fun to be in the recording studio.” ~Brynlee
“Getting to do the recording is like a dream. I have always wanted to play the piano, and so this has helped me to get out there and do it in front of an audience.” ~ Brandon
“It feels amazing to be able to record because we get to meet new people, and we get to experience the music. I really like getting to meet new people through music.” ~ Ava
“I joined the Rock Band Club because I really like playing guitar. Getting to record today feels very good because this is the first concert I’ve done playing a guitar.” ~ Wyatt
“It feels really good to have this experience because now I know that when I grow up, I might want to teach kids and help them experience things like this too.” ~ Malachi
