The Natrona County School District is excited to work together with school families as you prepare for your child’s next steps toward Kindergarten! We know the start of Kindergarten for the next school year is still a ways away, but NOW is the time to begin preparing for the upcoming School Choice Registration 2024-2025.
Here are some important steps for parents/guardians of incoming Kindergarten students:

- NEW Kindergarten student online information process - Click the BLUE GEAR
- After you complete step one, a Parent Portal account will be created for you. This may take up to a week to create. Check your email for your Parent Portal Information or call IT Help Desk at 307-253-5306
- Even if you already have students enrolled at NCSD, if you are adding a Kindergarten student, you must complete STEP ONE.
- Kindergarten Screenings: Once you have a Parent Portal account, please log into your account to SIGN-UP for your child’s Kindergarten Screening!

Kindergarten Screening Information
We believe school readiness is an important foundation for a child’s successful academic journey. Kindergarten Screenings are opportunities for teachers and families to work together to prepare their children for a fun, engaging, and successful educational experience in Kindergarten.
The Kindergarten Screening provides NCSD with information so we can prepare classrooms, resources, and opportunities to meet the educational needs of all incoming Kindergarten students. The screening is one way to determine the child's readiness for school while providing families with more information and resources to prepare for the upcoming school year.
