Natrona County School District would like to congratulate the exceptional students from Kelly Walsh High School and Natrona County High School who joined hundreds of their peers to participate in the Wyoming All-State Music Festival. This exciting event celebrates student musicians across the state for their tremendous talents and dedication to musical excellence.
These talented students spent two days together immersed in a world of music while collaborating with their fellow musicians and learning from world-class conductors in preparation for the final musical performance. This year’s guest conductors were Dr. Christopher Cicconi from Towson University for band, Dr. Derrick Fox from the University of Nebraska-Omaha for choir, and Dr. Michael Griffith from the University of Wyoming for orchestra.
Students from Kelly Walsh High School and Natrona County High School received special recognition for being selected for the Wyoming All-State Ensembles each year of their high school career:

The Wyoming Music Education Association selects one student from each ensemble as the Outstanding Senior All-State Member each year. This year, two KWHS band students were nominated for the Outstanding Senior Award, Justin Wicks, who plays the alto saxophone, and Leah Rose, who plays the tuba. Leah Rose was selected as the 2022 Wyoming Band Outstanding Senior.
