Ready…Set…Go! Helpful Information for Incoming Kindergarten School Families for 2022-2023!
The Natrona County School District is excited to work together with school families as you prepare for your child's next steps towards Kindergarten! We believe school readiness is an important foundation for a child's successful academic journey. Kindergarten Screenings are opportunities for teachers and families to work together to prepare your child for a fun, engaging, and successful educational experience in Kindergarten.
The Kindergarten Screening provides NCSD with information so we can prepare classrooms, resources, and opportunities to meet the educational needs of all incoming Kindergarten students. The screening is one way to determine the child's readiness for school which provides families with more information and time to work with their child before kindergarten begins, if necessary.
Families of incoming kindergarten students for the 2022-2023 school year can go online NOW to enter student information to create their Parent Portal, and sign-up for a Kindergarten Screening, by visiting www.natronaschools.org > clicking on Enrollment > clicking on the Blue Gear - New Student Enrollment. This proactive measure will ensure you have a Parent Portal account ready for the upcoming School Choice Registration.
School Choice Registration for all families will be from December 30th, 2021 through January 24th, 2022. This process will be completed through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. More information will be provided on School Choice Registration for families in the near future!

Dual-Language Immersion Parent Meetings
Dual Language Immersion is a parent choice program that begins in Kindergarten at the following schools: Paradise Valley Elementary School (Mandarin Chinese), Park Elementary School (Spanish), and Verda James Elementary School (Spanish). The DLI program continues into middle school at CY (Mandarin Chinese) and Dean Morgan (Spanish). Students must be enrolled in the elementary program beginning in Kindergarten in order to be eligible to continue in middle school.
NCSD Kindergarten Enrollment for the upcoming 2022-2023 Academic Year begins during the School Choice Registration window. School Choice Registration for all families will be from December 30th, 2021 through January 24th, 2022. More information will be provided on School Choice Registration for families in the near future.
Parents and guardians must attend an informational meeting to be eligible for potential enrollment into the DLI program(s).
