“Casper Classical Academy engages learners in a challenging classical education that fosters excellence, character, and independence.”

Casper Classical Academy is a public school, founded by a group of parents who wanted a school that offers a classical education with high expectations for all students, and a supportive staff dedicated to the success of students. CCA teaches a classical education that includes studying Western civilization and history, classical literature, and traditional subjects, such as logic and Latin. CCA heavily emphasizes writing and analytical reading.

Programs

Casper Classical Academy follows a rigorous, classical, college-preparatory curriculum approved by the school’s Governing Council. Sixth graders take reading, writing, math, science, social studies, P.E., ELA extensions, and an elective course (i.e. band, orchestra, choir, art, Intro to Career & Tech Education, or Family and Consumer Sciences) every day.

Seventh graders take the same subjects, however, they take Latin instead of ELA extensions.

Eighth graders take English, math, science, social studies, an elective course (i.e. band, orchestra, choir, art,  Career & Tech Education, or Family and Consumer Sciences), logic, PE/Health, and either Latin or Spanish every day. For students who qualify with advanced WYTOPP scores and a teacher recommendation, they are placed in our accelerated reading, writing, math, or science courses. Our P.E. and fine and performing arts classes are something we are very proud to offer every day.

Homeroom is a chance to teach virtues, social-emotional curriculum Character Strong, and check on grades. Additionally, twice a week during homeroom, we offer Interventions and Enrichments. Students who need an additional boost of help in ELA or math receive an intervention, while others receive an enrichment course like jazz band, guitar, cooking, 3-on-3 basketball, etc.

Activities

Students may participate in activities such as National Honor Society, Brain Bowl, Lego Robotics, Yearbook, Chess Club, Spelling Bee, Drama Club, Student Council, and Chopped (cooking) Club.

In addition, Casper Classical Academy offers the full slate of middle-level sports, including football, volleyball, cross-country running, basketball, wrestling, track, nordic skiing, swimming, soccer, cheerleading, and golf.
