“Oregon Trail Elementary is a community dedicated to building respectful and responsible citizens and empowering all learners to excel academically, socially, and emotionally.”

Oregon Trail Elementary, home of the Trailblazers, has a long tradition of excellence. Our school serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. We are dedicated to making sure all children are safe, healthy, challenged, supported, engaged in school, and developed to reach their full potential. We believe families are a very important part of the Oregon Trail community and we are proud of our strong parental partnerships.

Curriculum

At Oregon Trail, all students have access to Natrona County School District’s Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum. Teachers use the Journeys Curriculum and Literature Circles for English Language Arts (ELA) and students work independently, in small groups, and as a whole class in reading and writing. In Math, students study and practice core concepts primarily through the use of Saxon Math. Science and Social Studies instruction are embedded in Math and English and students have the opportunity for hands-on learning. All students have weekly Art, Music, Physical Education, and Library instruction with our highly qualified staff. Students also participate in Caring School Communities daily to build community and healthy social-emotional foundation.
