American History Cowboy Coalition
The American History Cowboy Coalition (AHCC) is part of a federal Teaching American History grant. The goal of this federal program is to raise student achievement by improving teachers’ knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of American history. The AHCC is based out of the Natrona County School District and aims to distribute resources and provide professional development opportunities for teachers across the state of Wyoming.

The AHCC has three levels of membership:
The bronze level offers to all interested teachers (regardless of their subject area or grade level) workshops, summer field trips, resources and materials (such as books, posters, maps, and GPS units), and substitute fees when attending a history-related professional development activity.
The silver level offers the same benefits and workshops as the bronze level, plus mentoring and individual attention from the project director as well as priority registration in workshops and bonus materials. Silver members will participate in a few simple assessment sessions and at least 75% of professional development activities.
The gold level offers all the benefits and requirements of the silver level plus an additional two hours of continuing education credit, monthly meetings, input on the future of history education, peer connections and collaboration, and many more resources.
The AHCC also has a control group cohort that participates in a few simple assessment sessions but does not partake of any AHCC offerings or resources
