The Bridges Math program offers students a hands-on program to explore and build their math understanding. The Balanced Literacy and 6+1 Traits of Writing programs allow students to build their reading skills at their own pace and to improve their writing with literature-based and real-life examples.

Our families
Parents are an important part of children’s education at Mills. All parents are encouraged to spend time reading with their child every night. The school also has an active and supportive PTA that is involved in fundraising, volunteering in classrooms and serving on school committees. Some PTA activities include a carnival, movie night, Bingo, Birthday Books and Santa Shop.
Parents also are encouraged to play an integral role in school improvement by being a part of T.E.A.M. Mills (Together Everyone Achieves More), which involves families, staff and community members working together to review data, make budget decisions and work on school improvement areas.
