About our school
Manor Heights features a child-centered education within an environment rich in meeting student needs through best practices. The school strives for children to become critical thinkers, problem-solvers, effective communicators and decision makers. Staff at the school believe in helping children acquire the skills, knowledge and attitudes for becoming life-long learners.
The school motto of “Be Nice” promotes responsibility and respect for individuals while maintaining a positive climate for learning.
Manor Heights also believes that parent involvement is essential to the academic success of students. Together, students, parents, staff and community members work to provide an exciting learning environment and a place where respect and care are modeled by all.
Our staff

Manor Heights students also are supported by classified personnel who play an important role in helping at-risk and BASS students within the building.
Students also have access to a social worker, a Central Wyoming Counseling Center counselor and class-size reduction personnel.
Our curriculum
Manor Heights students learn math through the Bridges and Connected Math programs. The programs provide hands-on activities, problem-solving experiences and connections between math and writing for all students.
The Balanced Literacy framework focuses on small group guided instruction tailored specifically to students’ needs. The reading program focuses on both teacher-guided and individual interest to foster a love of reading.
All students learn through a combined writing approach of 6+1 Traits of Writing and a unit of student writing curriculum.
Manor Heights is in the process of implementing the Response to Intervention model of special education. Progress monitoring student performance and utilizing student focus meetings guide the instructional practices.
The school also is home to the district center for all elementary Intensive Life Skill students. Manor Heights also has two BASS programs, one for students in kindergarten through third grade and one for students in grades four through six.
