Centennial Jr. High presented the play Anne Frank and Me on Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Centennial cafeteria. While Nicole Burns and her classmates are reading The Diary of Anne Frank, some of them are not quite convinced that the Holocaust was real. After a bump on the head, Nicole wakes up to find herself as part of a Jewish family in Paris in 1942. She learns first-hand about what it is to be Jewish in the time of Hitler, the Nazis, and the French Resistance. With its range of both funny and touching moments, this play performed by a talented group of student actors under the direction of Lisa Smith proved to be an entertaining and educational evening. |
