Art Club
Ms Wesnitzer
|
This is a great opportunity to come and do some art when you can't literally be in the class or just want to do some of your own kind of art (school appropriate of course). We do all kinds of things like design T-Shirts, Gemstone magnets (fundraiser), Tie-Dying, sidewalk chalk artwork, drawings, paintings, all kinds of things. This is student organized where students can practice leadership and planning. Art Club is every Monday from 2:35 to 3:30. Come join us! |

A staff person will be available for supervision, help with directions and guidance on assignments and aid in organization. This program runs Monday through Thursday after school from 2:30 to 4:00 pm. Students are expected to use the time wisely and appropriately, and may leave when they are done. It is open to all Centennial students who wish to participate. |

International Cultures Club
Ms Downing
Mrs Bowers
|
Please join us in learning about foods, customs, and culture in our engaging and fun club! Each month students explore and create a recipe from somewhere in the world. So far we have prepared dishes from Germany, the United States, and Spain. We welcome students who are interested in exploring ethnic dishes and traditions. We engage in different activities each month. These include having international guest speakers, preparing colorful food recipes, and leading interesting discussions about etiquette and customs from various countries around the globe. |

Anne Frank and Me |
Drama Club meets bi-monthly in the fall semester to play theater games and build acting skills. Though the club doesn't have meetings during spring semester, the sponsor, Mrs. Smith, directs a play or musical sometime during that time frame. All Centennial students, not just those who attended drama club, are encouraged to audition. |
Business Club
Ms Wesnitzer |
Business club is running the school store. Students come certain times of the week before and after school to sell to inventory in the school store to the student body of Centennial Junior High. It's a great opportunity to experience what it's like to manage money and public relations. Students that work at the school store plan by creating fun sales, ideas for inventory in the store, and poster designing. Students gain some exposure on what good work ethics might be about. |
Centennial Jazz Band
Ms Sexton |
Jazz band is open to any student at Centennial with an instrumental background in Saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, piano, bass, or drums. This is an extracurricular activity. We rehearse twice a week for an hour after school. We perform at in-school events as well as evening concerts. We participate in the Kinser Jazz Festival at Casper College. Jazz band is a fun opportunity for young musicians. |
