A Guide to Natrona County Schools

The Natrona County School District offers families a choice of schools for their children. Though admission to certain schools may be limited based on the school's physical capacity, parents are able to request their top choices among any of the 31 schools in Natrona County.

Having a district of choice has given birth to many innovations, many methodologies -- and many success in schools, families and students. The diversity among schools has provided opportunities for each child to learn in his or her unique way and for parents to become more involved. We strive to be a system that works for every child, regardless of which school their parents choose.

To help families make the best decisions for their own families, we are working to provide more information on each school's performance, philosophy and programs. To the left, you will find two links for every school.

The first link will give you a brief synopsis of the programs offered at the school. This information will soon be updated with even more comprehensive information about the school's educational programs, activities and parent involvement.

The second link provides a glimpse of the school's performance, as measured by assessment tests, along with information on what the school is doing to improve in three key subject areas.

All the information on schools should be considered together to paint a full picture of the school's atmosphere and how it will meet an individual child's needs. We also strongly encourage families to arrange visits to the schools they are interested in to learn even more.

For additional information, families also may call the school district at 577-0322.
